So it has certainly been some time since my last Sonic the Hedgehog based production, but in light of the recent Sonic the Hedgehog Movie (which you should totally go see), I thought I'd come up with something new in celebration.
Modeled from the perspective of a resident of Angel Island, this song is a wild ride heavily based on the music from Angel Island Zone Act 2 from probably my favorite video game of all time, Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
ENJOY!
lyrics
Verse1:
There was a secret land,
Enriched with endless peace,
A paradise set high up in the sky,
Her wings of emerald,
an heir of stunning grace,
a sight of legends untold,
Then a stranger came
and crashed her to the sea
An Egg of chaos, malice, and despair,
And you can
see disdain fill his eyes
Leaving heat and flame,
Cage her skies,
Her kin robbed,
Please tell me why,
Our Angel is burning in pain!
Channel:
We are, we are,
The sufferers,
Reaching for heavens,
and seeking deliverers,
Blue Stranger come,
Please fight for me,
Do all you can to,
Set our Angel free!
Set her free!
Come save me!
Rescue me!
Verse2:
Embers light all I own,
Nothing left, only stone,
Tell me,
Is there escaping this zone?
Drop 2:
Speed trap!
Go Hedgehog
Go Hedgehog
Go Hedgehog
Go!
Channel:
We are, we are,
The sufferers,
Reaching for heavens,
And seaking deliverers,
Blue Stranger come,
Please fight for me,
Do all you can to,
Set our Angel free!
We are, we are,
The hungry,
Take on the Egg,
Serve it hard never easy,
Take aim, take flight,
And Let him know,
Through emerald might,
Soar high and,
Set her free (go Super Sonic, go, go Super Sonic)!
Go break free (go Hyper Sonic, go, go Hyper Sonic)!
Rescue me!
